This is the latest HDMI technology! with televisions only being manufactured inexorably toward Ultra HD “4K,” and “8K” it was perfectly clear that the need for more bandwidth in the connection to handle the future’s higher resolutions and frame rates.  HDMI 2.1 delivers, supporting 4K 2160p x up to 120 frames per second and 8K to 60 frames per second.  This allows for full-resolution 8K along with higher frame rate 4K content.
