AV Rack Installation FAQs
Everything you need to know before your first conversation with our team.
Do you provide the AV rack?
Yes, we do. We're an authorized dealer for over 300 top brands, and all our 6U, 12U, 15U, 18U, 27U, 38U, 42U, and 44U residential and commercial racks include manufacturers' warranties.
Who installs the AV rack?
Our installers are certified, background-checked, and highly experienced, with ongoing training on rack build best practices.
Can an AV rack be installed in any room?
Yes. Regardless of wall material, our installers find a way. Even in rooms that aren't prewired, we'll fish cables through the attic, wall, or built-in cabinetry.
How long does it take to install the rack?
A basic rack installation typically takes 2 to 4 hours. More complex custom installations with concealed cabling can take days, and unusually complicated jobs can take 1 to 2 weeks.
How much does it cost to install a rack?
Our price starts at around $399 for a 12U rack. Final pricing depends on wall type, cable concealment, rack type, number of cables, and difficulty level.
What's included with the rack installation service?
Placement, integration and consultation, new AV rack unpacking, damages and defects inspection, equipment installation and integration, customer orientation, installation debris removal, and a limited lifetime warranty.
Will the AV rack cables show?
Our entry-level services do not include in-wall wiring or cable concealment. However, we can fish cabling for a clean look for an additional charge.
Do you follow building codes?
Yes. Our installers are familiar with OSHA, NEC, and local building codes. Low-voltage wires (HDMI, audio-video cables) are generally code-compliant in walls. When a power outlet is needed, we install a power relocation kit for a clean, code-compliant result.
Are you insured, and what does the warranty cover?
Yes. We carry a $1,000,000 general liability policy. We provide a limited lifetime warranty on all labor and workmanship, plus the manufacturer's limited warranty on equipment. If we installed it, we stand behind it.
How do I prepare for the installation?
Make sure all the electronic equipment you already have is available for the technician at the time of the installation, and that low- and high-voltage outlets are accessible (or you know where you want them installed). Someone 18 years or older should be present for the duration of the appointment, and furniture or anything fragile should be at least five feet from the work area.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, personal checks, business checks, cash, Venmo, CashApp, and Zelle.
